Nash and his brother took every opportunity to touch Chastity or caress her skin as they toured the rest of the exhibit. When they came to a series of specialty designed paintings that were 3-D images or appeared to be moving images, he recognized the paintings.

So did Riker.

“Hey, this is the one of the moving mermaid in the ocean. It looks so real, and almost exactly like the one you had put in at Hidden Treasures,” Riker said as he walked closer and started checking out all the different paintings from the local artist.

“I thought you would like that one. I had a hard time actually. Because there’s this one, too.” She pointed to a beautiful painting of a seascape and a mermaid sitting on a large boulder sunbathing as the waves crashed against the rocks. The wind was blowing her long blonde hair behind her, and she was smiling.

Nash stood behind her. He could see it clearly over Chastity’s head.

“Hey, you look like her, Chastity,” Nash said, and she shook her head in denial. Riker squinted his eyes and moved closer. “My God, Nash, you’re right. It’s beautiful,” Riker said.

“Why didn’t you choose this one?” Riker asked.

“I don’t know. The other one fit better for the club. This one looks more like it should be in a study or a special place. It wouldn’t be appreciated in the club,” she said as she stared at the picture.

Nash wrapped an arm around her midsection and held her close. He closed his eyes a moment as he kept his chin lightly on top of her head. He wanted to feel this moment. He suddenly hoped that there were more moments like this with Chastity to come.

As they moved on to the other paintings and pictures, Nash placed his hand under Chastity’s hair and against the back of her neck. He stroked his thumb back and forth over her nape. She accepted his need to hold her like this. One look at Riker, and his brother appeared happy.
